Quickie: Android vs Apple from a developer standpoint

0
Android clearly has dominance, with nearly 3 quarters of the mobile OS market worldwide. The problem is that when it comes to usage and profitability, Android's and Apple's number are reversed (http://www.lukew.com/ff/entry.asp?1672).
So with roughly 13% of the market, Apple accounts for 67% of mobile traffic, and is used 3 times more for mobile shopping than Android is.

If you go Apple. you're limiting your audience but you have a better chance of your app being used and making a profit from it.
Since money makes the world go round, most people will probably go with Apple. The big question here is, what are people using their Android devices for? Only phone calls? With such a large number of Android devices in "the wild", so to speak, it is baffling that they are not leading in every mobile category...
